Remove the Barriers in Your Learning Experience: Multiverse is Here to Help!
Whether you are starting your career or are an established professional, the learning experience can feel very challenging for a variety of reasons. This is ok! Everyone learns differently and at their own pace.
At Multiverse, we understand that every apprentice has a unique set of circumstances that can impact their learning and progress. We believe in creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all of our apprentices. This means that we're dedicated to providing the right kind of support that meets your needs.
We want to encourage all of our apprentices to reach out and ask for support if they need it. There's no shame in asking for help - it's a sign of strength and determination.
What could the learning barriers be?
…In short, this is anything that gets in the way of your learning experience or might put you at a disadvantage when sitting an assessment. This could be:
- Learning needs: If you have a neurodiversity-related condition (such as Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), or Autism Spectrum Condition), or
- Physical health needs: if you have a physical disability, impairment, or illness, that can be temporary or permanent
- Mental health needs: related to your mental well-being, this could be, for example, stress, anxiety, or depression.
- Other learning barriers include the risk of harm, domestic risks or homelessness, workplace safety, employment legislation, etc.
Do you think you need help? Here’s what you can do.
- Speak to your coach: The first thing you are going to want to do is to share your concerns with your coach. Speak to them about your experiences and how they could help you overcome them.
- Try out strategies: Working with your coach, discuss strategies that could help you with your challenges. There are as many solutions as there are people, so it’s perfectly normal to try strategies and adjust according to your needs.
What more can be done?
There is also a range of support that we could provide centrally, depending on your circumstances and eligibility (UK only):
- Requesting reasonable adjustments at exams
- Specialist support options such as tutoring and counselling
- Providing you with access to assistive technology and other specialist resources
If you are based in the US, discuss with your coach to understand what more can be done depending on your circumstances.
Who can I contact?
