My Multiverse - Chloe Driscoll

(3 min read)
Chloe is a level 3 business administration apprentice at Ascential.
Hey Chloe! Tell us a little about yourself and your apprenticeship with Multiverse...
My role is L&D Administrator Apprentice at Ascential and I started in August 2021. The programme that I have undertaken is Business Administration Level 3 and I am due to finish my apprenticeship in October 2022. In my role, my main responsibilities and duties are being responsible for the creation, daily running, growth, maintenance, innovation, administration and communication of a Learning & Development alumni network of over 200 global, cross-company Elite award winners. This is a quarterly reward scheme that rewards excellent business performance. Alongside that, I help with the daily running of Ascential’s L&D and CSR teams.
How have you found it so far?
I have loved every minute of my apprenticeship and my role - I have gained so much knowledge, skills and behaviours from both that have allowed me to better myself and I have only been on my apprenticeship for 4 months! Furthermore, there is so much support from Multiverse - you get support from the community, your coach, your cohort, your buddy. There is always someone there to talk to and to help you which makes the course so much easier.
Tell us about some of the key learnings and skills your Multiverse apprenticeship has equipped you with that you apply to your role?
I would say the first assignment I did on the mission, vision and values of Ascential has helped me understand the company I work for so much more. The knowledge, skills and behaviours I have learnt so far in my apprenticeship have allowed me to excel in my role and win an award at Ascential - HR Hero. I won the award due to demonstrating one of the company’s values, all in, in the work that I have done so far and my first assignment allowed me to understand Ascential’s values and how I should apply that to my everyday work.
How has being a part of the Multiverse Community helped you so far?
I sign up for a lot of events within the Multiverse Community which is amazing because Multiverse has so many events to fit each individual to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours. One event I attended recently that was really insightful for me to help me develop in my apprenticeship and career was “Professional Communication”. At the beginning of my apprenticeship, I struggled with structuring emails to colleagues and since then I have been able to develop that skill and get better due to this workshop.
A Multiverse apprenticeship aims to deliver skills of lifelong learning, networking, and opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals. How are you using the Community to help you in your career?
The main way that I am using the Community to help me in my career is through the events as I said above. There are so many different events in the community that can help with your career development and even your own personal development. Anything from improving your posture to building strong mental health to building consensus at work to professional communication - the list is endless.
Finally, what are your top 3 tips for other Multiverse apprentices?
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help
- Network within the Multiverse Community and at your workplace to improve your visibility
- Most importantly, believe in yourself
