What is your 'Why'? - Keira Todd

Keira Todd is a digital business accelerator apprentice at Allegis Group.
2022, everyone's wanting to move up in life, steer away from the global pandemic and the struggles it has brought over the years. Individuals are wanting fresh starts in one way or another. It's very easy to get caught up in the pressure and stress of maintaining motivation and productivity. We however, have to pull ourselves up and remind ourselves of our 'why'. Why am I wanting to push myself? Why am I wanting to succeed? Who am I doing this for? There are a million and one questions you can reflect on and ask yourself to keep your drive and vision clear.
It's so easy to get wrapped up in your own head and to forget how far you have come, how much effort, time and commitment you have invested. Don’t let one thing determine your past or future achievements. Ensuring you have ways you can motivate yourself, is very important and beneficial.
‘If you don’t know where you’re going or what your targets are, you'll never get there.’ – Idris Elba
What motivates me?
Knowing I can succeed and make my dreams come true is enough for me to get up and out in the morning and work my hardest every single day. I want to make life for myself where I can look back on and feel proud, feel that I have done everything I wanted and could have done to make it for myself.
Being aware of your potential, makes it easier to execute all of your personal power into everything you do. Having a vison and a dream motivates me, knowing I have something to develop and build on excites me and that excitement is channelled into motivation.
Why is it important to reflect?
Whether you are reflecting after a meeting, a workout, your weekly or monthly goals, it's so important to take the time to appreciate your achievements and coordinate your areas of struggle. This creates and establishes a vision of what it is you can continuously develop to encourage yourself to keep working hard. By recognising and appreciating your wins, it allows you to appreciate and clearly see that your hard work is paying off. By recognising your struggles, it gives you a chance to locate where your areas of improvement could be focused to and makes goal setting more effective and relevant.

Journaling
Journaling is one really effective method to ensure you set intentions and reflect beneficially. Some things that you could include when journaling can be:
- Things you are grateful for
- Your intention for the day
- How you want to feel at the end of the day
- What you are proud of achieving today
Meditating
Another way which you can connect and ground yourself to your surroundings, is meditation. Mediating is an incredible way to connect to your inner self. It can make you feel a deepened calmness. Time slows down and everything around you absorbs into peace. You can feel the warmth of high vibrational energy flow through your mind and body and bring you tranquillity.
‘The best way to predict a free future is to create it.’
Some benefits of meditation:
- Improved concentration
- Energetic
- Refreshed
- Deeply connected to yourself and the universe
- Content
- Reduces anxiousness
Personal growth - social growth:
Social growth focuses on skills such as communication abilities.
Communication within a company and team is vital for seeing effective results and high performances. It is important to get to know the communication methods that your colleagues favour. This is because it will help build an understanding of a clear pathway of how you could go about approaching day to day activities at work or even complications.
This understanding of your fellow colleagues will help you accelerate in your personal power journey as you are broadening your knowledge of how to deal with others, not just yourself. This is an advantage, for you will build relationships with comprehension, which will contribute to team performances as you can support one another in more depth.
Law of attraction
What you think starts a vibration that influences how you feel, which impacts what you attract, which creates your reality.
The way you speak about yourself, the way you feel about yourself all channels to your daily performance. If you truly believe in yourself and project your personal power to your views on life, you will find yourself becoming more positive and start to see results in many ways. By being able to have somewhat control of what you think and feel, it gives you a chance to increase productivity within. You need to allow yourself time to train and condition your mind to tailor your qualities to who you want to be and what you want to feel. Anything you speak, think or feel all relates to the law of attraction.
