My Multiverse Journey: What Have I Learnt in my Apprenticeship? | by Bethany Livermore
As my apprenticeship is coming to an end, I wanted to take some time to reflect on my journey at both Multiverse and Mindshare and recognise how far I have come in just over a year. It has definitely been one to remember and I have never looked back since. Multiverse has been the main pillar of my success and I’ll be discussing the reasons why in this article.
What has Multiverse got to offer?
A Multiverse apprenticeship has been one of the best things that have happened to me as it is not like any traditional apprenticeship provider. Multiverse offers lifetime opportunities, expert industry coaching and excellent workshops tailored to your professional development. It has immeasurably increased my confidence and self-belief, which has helped me at work. The 1-1 coaching has been an incredible support space as well.
Without having the fantastic Multiverse development opportunities available to me, I wouldn’t be where I am today! One top bit of advice I will give to anyone starting their apprenticeship is to say "yes" to every opportunity that comes their way.
How to make the most out of Multiverse bootcamps
Multiverse bootcamps are really insightful and equip you with all the skills and knowledge you need to know to excel in both your qualification and career. Every coach at Multiverse is invested in your journey and your growth which is what makes it an amazing experience.
- Ask lots of questions (No question is stupid!)
- Engage and participate in the group activities
- Use all the resources provided as well as the documents on applied
- Ensure to attend all the revision sessions before the exams (This will help condense your knowledge)
Elevate Leadership Programme:
Elevate has to be one of the top highlights of my apprenticeship as it is an incredible chance for you to invest valuable time in your growth, deepen your impact, and become a leader. You will be the voice of the Multiverse community and be an advocate for your peers. In Elevate, there are three different pathways to embark on, Engage, Influence, and Regional Champion.
- 6-month programme (4 hours per month, counts as your OTJ!)
- Exclusive access to inspirational speakers and leaders
- Professional development workshops tailored to your goals
- PR opportunities to build your personal brand and profile
Mentoring Programme:
I would definitely recommend applying for the mentoring programme at Multiverse, it has been a great experience for me to develop in different ways and have the opportunity to talk to a mentor external to my company. Receiving advice and guidance from someone outside of your organisation can put a different perspective on situations and offer an alternative approach to problems you are facing at work. In my opinion, I’d start the journey with 3 main goals you want to achieve and tailor the sessions from these and ensure your mentor is aware of the ways they can support you.
Community Blogging Team:
I joined the blogging team at Multiverse with the intention and goal of developing and improving my written skills as well as leading the community with valuable content to inspire fellow apprentices. One of the main reasons why I joined the team was to allow me to advance in a range of different skills that can be applied within my job role. If you have a strong passion for writing and it isn't something you do on an everyday basis, this is an amazing opportunity to influence the hub.
- 3-month programme
- Write 4 articles (1 every 3 weeks)
- All time spent on writing articles counts as your OTJ hours
- All articles will be published on the Community Hub
- Access to the Write Way Lab
