Supporting Communities impacted by the invasion of Ukraine

Many members of the Multiverse Community have expressed concern and asked what they can do to help communities impacted by the invasion of Ukraine. Below you will find information about how you can show your support -  as well as information about organisations that are raising emergency funds, seeking the support of volunteers, and collecting essential items

Donate Money

GlobalGivingSupports non-profits around the world and its Ukrainian relief fund will provide food, water, shelter and other assistance to refugees of the crisis

Direct ReliefProvides for the medical needs by working alongside Ukraine’s health ministry.

CareWorks to supply food, water and hygiene kits to those suffering in Ukraine.

Doctors Without Borders- The 50-year-old non-profit sends staff and medical supplies to areas affected by conflict in Ukraine and further afield.

Save the ChildrenWith a specific Ukraine crisis relief fund Save The Children provides food, hygiene kits, funding and more for families and children.

Donate Time

Tech For Ukraine has been set up by Tech to the Rescue and are looking for development teams to deliver a full digital solution for nonprofit organisations. Non-profit organisations need tech support to maximise impact in the light of the ongoing crisis. Help them design digital solutions that matter.

The Romanian and Eastern European Hub is a service designed to support the Romanian and Eastern European communities both in London and more widely across the UK. They are seeking Ukrainian-speaking volunteers. Email: [email protected]; Telephone: 02038579495.

Work Rights Centre, is a charity that tackles poverty with expert employment rights advice, and evidence-based campaigning. They are seeking a Ukrainian-speaking volunteer to help with employment and integration.

Advocacy

UK - Contact your local MP

If you’re based in the UK, the first step is to check who your MP is by using easy search tool. Once you know who they are, you can then choose how to contact them. All MPs can be contacted by post (just send your letter to House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA) or by email.

US - Contact your Congress Representative

If you’re based in the US, you can contact your representative in Congress to voice your views on the American response to the tragedy. You can find contact details for your local lawmaker with the Find Your Representative tool, or contact the White House directly.
