What are the main responsibilities of your current role?
My main responsibilities go from managing the AP (Aged Payables) of the business to assisting in month-end management accounts.
What does a typical day in your role look like?
A typical day for me involves working on supplier and Employee queries and requests, managing payments, bank reconciliation, and other monthly accounts assistance
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love the exposure and opportunities for growth and development, being able to step up and take ownership and deliver. The sense of accomplishment is like no other!
What are the challenging aspects of your role?
Working in a rapidly growing business requires you to constantly go above and beyond. Especially, when it comes to managing workload.
Why did this role/industry appeal to you?
Tide is not only a great place to work if growth and development appeal to you. But their purpose of supporting small businesses and their focus on diversity and sustainability is commendable as a business.
What skills do you use and develop as part of your role?
Being adaptable, time management, and ownership have been the key skills for my role.
How did doing a Multiverse apprenticeship support your career journey?
Doing an Apprenticeship with Multiverse has been one of the best life decisions. I am truly grateful for the endless support I have received throughout my Apprenticeship. My coach (Madhu )had been a pillar of support, not only for my professional development but also personal development and gaining the confidence to achieve.
Despite no longer working at Multiverse, Madhu is still supporting me with career development. Multiverse coaches are beyond commendable.
What achievement are you most proud of since completing your apprenticeship?
I achieved mostly 90% in my AAT exams and portfolio. Moreover, I was also an Apprentice of the month.
I did this while working in a fast phased environment. I achieved the highest performance score in my last review and was given a promotion.
Can you provide a brief history of your career journey since completing your apprenticeship?
It has only been onwards and upwards! I landed a promotion. I have grown significantly within my work and have been recently covering for a senior role! I am grateful for the exposure and the skills I am able to develop and improve on.
What advice would you give to current apprentices who want to progress in a similar role?
Have a vision, be confident in your ability, they say the sky is the limit but we have even been to space!
Look for a colleague at your workplace who may inspire you and shadow them. There's so much we can learn from others!
