Hey Shri! Congratulations on winning Member of the Month - could you tell us a little bit about your background, what apprenticeship you are doing & where you work?
I am Shrikanth and I work in tech as a product manager. I have been at Yoox net-a-porter Ltd for over 10 years. I am originally from India and moved to London after my bachelor’s. Outside of work I volunteer for the Art of Living foundation. I am also a trained meditation and breathwork teacher at SKY CAMPUS UK that conducts experiential and transformational learning programmes for the youth, university students and adults in the areas of stress management and well-being, service, leadership and social change. I am currently doing my apprenticeship in L4 Project Management programme which is due to finish in July.
So, how do you feel about winning Member of the Month? Can you tell us a bit about your nomination?
I wasn't expecting it and I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I heard. Juggling work responsibilities with studying has been challenging, even overwhelming sometimes. My coach has always been available and supportive during the apprenticeship. She has a hands-on approach and guided me with practical tips. I am grateful for her help all through.

The Multiverse Community gives Apprentices the opportunity to build meaningful, social and professional relationships. Have you found the Community has helped you to build your network throughout your Apprenticeship and if so, how?
Yes, the community has been a very useful way to meet and interact with other professionals. I have gained tremendously from everyone’s diverse viewpoints, attitudes, professional experiences and academic strengths. The transition of going back to studying after having been in the corporate world felt easier because of the community. Sharing our personal struggles also made the classroom experience more enriching.
What has been the most rewarding experience you’ve had so far as an apprentice?
While I carry the professional and academic learnings from this course close to my heart, the one thing that will stand out for me is the human angle - the community and the coaches - all combined to provide a positive environment for learning, unlearning and connecting. It was a refreshing change to be able to discuss new ideas in a nurturing space where it was ok to make mistakes and be who I am. I was able to do things I never thought I could do and that has been an exhilarating experience.
I also found it challenging at the beginning of the programme, making a shift from work to studying was a bit overwhelming and the community events like shut up and write and other sessions really helped me with the onboarding process.
