PRIDE hosted by the PRISM Network

Published on May 25, 2022

June is Pride Month, where people around the globe come together to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and raise awareness for inequalities that still stand today.

Pride is a moment for those who identify as LGBTQIA+ and their allies to pause and reflect on how far they have come but also celebrate the breadth, strength and beauty of experience within the community.

Here in the Multiverse Community, we will no doubt be doing the same - hosted by the wonderful PRISM network, throughout the month of June the chairs will be using the platform to host events and content that will both celebrate and elevate the voices of our LGBTQIA+ community.

PRISM was created to give LGBTQIA+ community members a safe and comfortable space to start conversations surrounding any topics related to the community, drive positivity, and help support each other through navigating the workplace & the world as an LGBTQIA+ person. This is also a place for allies to feel accepted and learn from others' experiences.

Check out the full schedule of events and content below:

1st June: Alan Turing Article
We’ll be starting the month by remembering Alan Turing was a pioneering mathematician and data scientist whose contributions to artificial intelligence and data science shaped the world of data we know today. But more than that, a resilient, authentic, determined individual and an admired role model within the LGBTQIA+ community. Today his legacy lives on and his commitment to equality makes his achievements even more remarkable.
